hot take but when most normal/decent people say “fiction isn’t reality” we actually mean “what people enjoy in stories doesn’t necessarily reflect their morals in real life (most people who enjoy murder stories aren’t pro-murder, etc), and most people who write about problematic and touchy topics are survivors of those things who use fictional characters to vent and tell their stories, and aren’t awful deplorable freaks who deserve harassment and threats. What most decent people don’t mean when they say “fiction isn’t reality” is “fiction can never affect reality and i should be able to write and draw actual cp with no repurcissions because it’s fictional.”

honestly one of the funniest but saddest trends on this site I’ve seen is when you go to someone’s blog and then their first post is like “abuse is bad!!!!!mental and emotional abuse is still abuse!!!!” but then the rest of their blog will be like

*post widely humiliating someone who was probably just uneducated abt a certain subject*

and other dumb shit like that. it’s wild.

allistics want to treat autism like it’s some terrible and deadly disease when it’s really just a different kind of “wiring” that someone’s brain can have that might make you seem really fucking weird to some people but isn’t inherently going to kill you. the only reason people “suffer” from autism is because of things like parents and other guardians who believe their autistic children are a burden and don’t give them the love and support they need or assholes who only see us as “fucking retards” who deserve to be beaten and murdered or people who bully us so much from childhood even all the way into adulthood just for acting differently than they do. the only dangers to my health “caused” by my autism were piss-poor mental health and constant urges to fucking kill myself that were actually caused by ugly-ass allistics who thought it would be too much of an inconvenience to treat the “weird kid” with a little basic human decency. if ur an allistic who wants to do better and support us, actually fucking listen to us for the love of god. but after hearing our voices and our own opinions on how we deserve to be treated and still think we’re sick and need to be “cured” go off I guess lmao
